Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Project Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of various aspects of Polygon’s day-to-day accounting and reporting. The ideal candidate is professional, highly motivated, and enthusiastic. Responsibilities include:
- Liaising with accounting, finance, and tax teams, amongst other operational departments, in our Vancouver office;
- Supporting the Accounting team with various financial reporting and project accounting journal entries, analytics, reconciliations, and internal & external reporting requirements;
- Prepare closing documents for residential unit completions and coordinate required supporting documentation;
- Supporting the accounting team with the preparation and documentation of audit support as required for external and regulatory audits;
- Engagement in continuous professional development;
- Passion for the real estate industry and desire to grow with the Company; and,
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- CPA student or intent to pursue CPA designation is an asset
- Entry-level to 4 years of accounting or finance experience; real estate exposure is an asset.
- Strong work ethic and takes pride in quality of deliverables to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to demonstrate effective organizational skills in order to meet deadlines.
- Exhibit impactful problem-solving skills and detail orientated work.
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
- Strong aptitude for working within Excel.

Salary range: $55,000 to $70,000 (plus bonus and benefits), based on the candidate’s experience, skills and qualifications.
